As usual Jerry Angelo is one of the first GMs in the league to have signed the majority of his draft picks before talk of signings even begin.
Angelo has made it a habit to get all of his draft picks into camp and do it on time on an annual basis, and this year is no different.
Angelo took care of seven of the Bears' nine draft picks yesterday signing them to contracts.
Sure his cause is helped by the fact that the Bears didn't have a first round draft pick and first round picks are usually the ones that are hardest to sign. But this is very typical for Angelo, he doesn't waste time and he's very fair in his dealings.
The Bears will have their players in camp on time and they will be able to take full advantage of two a day practices. Having rookies signed very important for rookie development.
This year's rookie class developing is no exception with D-Linemen Jarron Gilbert and Henry Melton being project type lineman who need as much time in camp as possible.
Gilbert has yet to sign but it should be a matter of a mere formality before he does sign.
